Full Terms and Conditions
1. VEHICLE
The vehicle is rented on the date of signing the contract.
The car is delivered to the driver in perfect condition, with the driver giving his/her agreement when signing the contract.
The driver must maintain the vehicle in perfect condition and cleanliness and return the vehicle with the respective documents.
The vehicle must be returned by the driver on the agreed date specified in the contract conditions and returned to the agreed station.
If the vehicle is returned to a different location than agreed, the customer is responsible for the entire transfer costs.
The driver is responsible for all loss and damage to the vehicle, including theft.
In the event of a delay of more than one hour in relation to the date stipulated in the contract for returning the vehicle, the driver is responsible for paying an extra day calculated based on the current public tariff.
In the event that the vehicle presents damage caused by misuse or negligence, in accordance with article 487 nº 2 of the Civil Code, the driver is responsible for paying for the entire repair of the vehicle
The driver is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during the rental period. The condition of the vehicle will be checked by both parties when returning it in order to identify the difference in damage in relation to the respective collection.
The driver is responsible for any damage caused to the interior of the vehicle that was not identified at the time of collection. The contract expires automatically if the vehicle is used under one or more conditions set out in the following lines.
2. USE OF THE VEHICLE
The driver is prohibited from making changes to the rented vehicle, including the attachment of advertising or extras, without the prior consent of SilverRent.
The driver is the only person authorized to drive the vehicle and is responsible for its use.
The car is authorized to circulate only in mainland Portugal.
The driver may not use the vehicle in any of the following situations:
for public transport of people and/or goods;
in sports competitions, races, rallies, contests, bets, etc.
for the transport of goods prohibited by law or for any illegal act;
to tow or push other vehicles;
driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotics, toxic products or with psychological restrictions;
for the transport of passengers and goods that violate the characteristics of the vehicle as specified in the respective DUA.
The driver is prohibited from subletting, lending or assigning part or all of the rights under the respective contract.
The driver is obliged to keep the car closed and not leave the respective documents inside it.
The driver is responsible for paying compensation to SilverRent in the event of loss or destruction of the vehicle's documents.
3. CONTRACT EXTENDMENT
The rental contract ends on the day specified in the respective document.
If the driver wishes to extend the contract, he must inform SilverRent 24 hours in advance.
In the case of extension, failure to pay any amount relating to the previous period will result in the immediate expiration of the contract.
SilverRent reserves the right to accept a rental extension. In this case, the return dates contained in the respective contract remain valid.
4. VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
If the driver notices any mechanical or electrical problem in the vehicle, he or she is obliged to stop the vehicle immediately and contact SilverRent.
In the event of a breakdown, any repair can only be carried out with authorization from SilverRent.
Any costs for transporting the vehicle due to damage caused by its incorrect use by the driver are the sole responsibility of the driver.
5. INSURANCE
The customer may sign the following deductible or insurance eliminations:
Super CDW – includes the elimination of the deductible for damages specific to the rented vehicle.
CDW – comprises damage caused to the rented vehicle, with the customer being responsible for the deductible specified in the respective table.
TP – includes insurance against vehicle theft, with the customer being responsible for the deductible specified in the respective table.
PAI – includes driver and passenger insurance, with the customer being responsible for the deductible specified in the respective table.
WSC – tire and glass coverage, with the customer being responsible for the deductible specified in the respective table.
VP – acts of vandalism against the vehicle, with the customer being responsible for the deductible specified in the respective table.
In the event of an accident, the driver is obliged to observe the following procedures:
Report any accidents, thefts or acts of vandalism to SilverRent and the police within 24 hours;
Obtain the name(s), address(es) and insurance policy number of third parties involved as well as the first two names of any witnesses;
Do not abandon the vehicle;
Do not take any responsibilities of the acid
6. PAYMENTS
The driver is responsible for paying the rental contract, namely:
Rent value;
Costs related to the reduction or elimination of franchises;
Fees, fines and fines;
Any costs incurred by SilverRent in the process of collecting amounts owed by the customer.
Outstanding invoices and related interest due to late payments are calculated at the maximum legal rate in accordance with Portuguese law.
In the event of an accident, the driver is responsible for paying R$30 for administrative expenses.
The driver, to guarantee the obligations arising from the respective contract, must leave a security deposit, according to the current table. This deposit can be made in cash or credit card.
The driver expressly authorizes SilverRent to charge his credit card for the security deposit and/or any outstanding amounts.
7. FINES
The driver is always responsible for any tickets or fines that occur during the rental period.
The driver undertakes to pay €30 to SilverRent as compensation for the administrative costs that SilverRent incurs.
If the vehicle's documents are lost, the driver is responsible for the expenses SilverRent incurs in issuing new documents.
The driver is also responsible for any fines due to lack of documents in the vehicle during the respective rental period.
8. CONTRACT JURISDICTION
In the event of any legal action, the convicted party is responsible for paying all costs inherent to that same action.
For any legal dispute, both parties agree that the competent jurisdiction is the Mayan court.

9. INFORMATION
The driver expressly acknowledges that all clauses of this contract have been duly explained and consequently signs this contract.
10. PERSONAL DATA
The driver's personal data is mandatory for the conclusion of this contract.
The driver authorizes SilverRent to use his data for internal processing.
The driver's data will be used to identify the driver or drivers and may be used in the event of non-compliance with rental payments or misappropriation of the vehicle.
SilverRent is the entity responsible for processing the customer's personal data.
